[11 Apr 2007|02:27pm] So far this has been a pretty good week. Went to the Decemberists show on Sunday night. That was really fun. Also got a new job at Circuit City. Looks like this could be a very good job. New season of Entourage started. Oh man, this show is simply amazing. Grindhouse far exceeded my expectations. Baseball season is off and running. [23 Feb 2007|06:12am] Ughhh. I want an HDTV very badly. I just came one click away from purchasing a 32" HDTV LCD TV that woot.com had up for $495 SHIPPED, but at the last second, I decided to try and find some user reviews on another site. I found the same product on buy.com, and the reviews all pretty much said the tv was "a great value" or "good for the price" but no truly shining reviews, plus about 85% of the reviews all said "picture looked good on HDTV channels, but on standard def channels, it looked less than good." Less than good? I'm sorry... even though that's a great price on an HDTV, it's still a large purchase, and for me to spend $500 on it, the standard def channels need to look better than "less than good." Even a "good" would suffice, as long as it also said the HDTV programming looked "fantastic." I'd rather keep saving for a tv that's going to look fantastic. I don't want to "settle" to save some money. So, I wait some more. Sigh. If anything, at least I can say that I didn't buy this on impulse (close call... I had never heard this, and honestly I'd never really watched any of Mencia's acts or his TV Show because he just bugs me, but there's a video going around made by Joe Rogan (yeah, the UFC/Fear Factor guy) where he confronts him, onstage, about him stealing from other comedians. Anyways, I thought the video was hilarious.
